Now is the time you have been waiting for... it's time to visit Garvan Woodland Gardens Holiday Lights! The holiday lights kicked off Saturday, November 19th and they run through Saturday, December 31st. Joanna and I enjoy visiting the lights every year with our family, especially our nephews and niece! Every year there are more lights and new decorations to see so please do yourself a favor and book a night or two with us at Hilltop Manor Bed and Breakfast and go see the holiday lights! Did I mention, they have free hot chocolate?!
I also recommend going while it's still a little light out to see the Anthony Chapel, one of Arkansas's premier wedding venues! We offer wedding packages as well but if you decide to book your wedding with them, come and enjoy a romantic honeymoon with us here at Hilltop Manor B&B!
Today marks the opening of the 25th annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival (HSDFF) here in the Spa City! The HSDFF is the oldest non-fiction festival in North America and one of the biggest attractions of the year for Hot Springs. This is such a great festival that has brought nationwide interest to Hot Springs and we are once again looking forward to an outstanding lineup of documentary films.
Here are a few highlights of the festival that I think are worth mentioning...
There are some major names this year including Beau Bridges and Louis Gossett Jr. who are acting as Co-Chairs of the festival this year. Louis Gossett Jr. is having a Book Signing Event on Saturday, October 8th at the Arlington Hotel in downtown Hot Springs.
Another notable name worth mentioning is Barry Bostwick of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, which happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time! Bostwick will be at a special screening event of the movie on Friday, October 14th at the Arlington Hotel. Earlier that day you can catch a preview from the upcoming documentary, The Rocky Horror Phenomenon, which examines the long lasting impact of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
If you haven't made plans yet to visit Hot Springs for this amazing festival, it's not too late! We still have a few rooms available and we are only a five minute drive from downtown Hot Springs where all of the action is taking place! Not to mention, it is shaping up to be a beautiful Fall here in Hot Springs so come on over and check out the Fall Foliage later this month!

If you hadn't already heard...Hot Springs has a bit of a...reputation. The first National Park (even before Yellowstone), our forest, mountains and thermal springs have been attracting visitors since Congress designated it a federally protected area in 1832. Since then, notable figures ranging from Babe Ruth to Al Capone have flocked to "America's First Resort" to relax and find rejuvenate. Of course, when you have a reputation as being the go-to resort town in the region, you embrace it!
Speaking of embraces...after all the time and energy spent planning a wedding, isn't relaxation and rejuvenation the two things you're craving for your honeymoon?
We've got you covered!
Release your tension at one of our area spas such as Sabai Spa or the Quapaw Baths & Spa. Ready to dine with your sweetheart? Central Park Fusion, Via Roma and Luna Bella have delicious dishes and romantic dining rooms for a little bit of quality time. Afterward, let us help set you up with a carriage ride down Bathhouse Row through Historic Downtown Hot Springs.
Should you decide to get out of bed and explore, there are tons of area attractions to fill your free time. The summer of 2015 has brought tremendous change across the United States, and we couldn't be more thrilled about it! With the recent Supreme Court ruling recognizing marriage for same-sex couples, there has been cause for celebration as many LGBT couples begin considering what the future of their relationships might look like. Sadly, that excitement isn't universally shared.
At Hilltop Manor Bed and Breakfast, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and welcoming location for all of our guests. We love serving as a site for wedding parties, receptions and ceremonies and are happy to provide an on-site officiant. Our Weddings section has information on packages and prices.
Of course if you're simply looking for a romantic getaway, we'll be happy to save a room for you.
